Good Morning Everyone! In case you haven't noticed I am not much of a writer, I'm an accountant blogging about sewing. I am going to try a little harder to provide more content.
I have made the McCall's M7465 and what a great pattern! Unfortunately, due to the Iowa weather I haven't worn it yet. I am still in ultra warm, layered clothing!
My fabric was in my stash just waiting for the right pattern. It is a lovely soft weight knit.
The dress has a separate top and bottom sewn together with an elastic casing, very basic construction. The bodice included the sleeves which I really liked, another simple feature.
I felt the dress was a little short with no room for a hem so I added an extra 2 inches and was able to provide an adequate hem.
In summary it is a great pattern and I love the finished dress, I am very excited to wear it and plan to make a few more for summer.
