Denim jacket

This is a picture heavy post but I believe the pictures are needed to show you how wonderful this pattern truly is.

When McCall's launched this pattern I knew I needed this jacket in my wardrobe.  I sent a picture to my friend at the fabric store who helped me find the perfect fabric.  I looked at a few different styles but chose this beautiful denim.

The pattern was pretty straightforward, a lot of pieces but overall went together very well.

I didn't have to make any adjustments to the fit of this pattern .  The shoulders, the bust, and the waist fit perfectly.

The pattern called for 4 - 3/4" buttons but I decided to go with vintage snaps that I had in my stash.

While digging for snaps I found these lovely hangers.
I had trouble with one of my snaps so my DH tried to help me and it didn't go so well.  We ended up ripping the fabric.
I was able to patch the hole, and it will be hidden on the inside of the coat

Overall I am so happy with my new jacket and the pattern.  I can't wait to wear it!
